According to HPD Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu an investigation is underway at two different locations after four people were shot early Sunday Morning.
Investigators said one person died and three others are in the hospital.
According to police, officers were called to the hospital around 5 a.m. when two people showed up to the hospital with gunshot wounds. The victim stated that they had been shot near a nightclub on Rampart Street. When officers went to the nightclub, they said they didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
Chief Cantu said that HPD received another call around 6 a.m. Regarding a shooting at a separate club on 6909 Ashcroft Drive. When officers arrived at the scene they found two people with gunshot wounds. One person died at the scene, the other was taken to the hospital, according to police.
Investigators said that there isn’t a lot of information and it’s unclear where the shootings took place and if they are connected.
“We have a lot of missing pieces” said HPD Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu. HPD is asking anyone with information to contact HPD homicide detectives or CrimeStoppers.
