Flights delayed at Bush Airport due to staffing, construction

Flights are being delayed at Bush Intercontinental Airport on Friday afternoon.

According to the FAA website, the ground delay was issued at 4:30 p.m. and is due to issues with staffing and construction.

On Thursday, a ground stop was issued for nearly two hours due to staffing at Bush airport.

The FAA released this statement earlier this week to address the staffing issues:

“As Secretary Duffy has said, there have been increased staffing shortages across the system. When that happens, the FAA slows traffic into some airports to ensure safe operations.”
