Man found shot to death in Katy, another detained by Harris Co. deputies
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said a man has been detained after a man was found shot to death in front of a home in Katy.

Authorities in Katy are trying to piece together what led up to a man shooting another to death in front of a home Friday morning.

Details are limited, but Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies with Precinct 5 were called to a shooting at a home on Park Brook Drive near Park Wind Drive. That’s where responding officers said they found an unidentified man dead at the scene in front of the home.
Pct 5 deputies were dispatched to an in-progress call at the 21600 blk of Park Brook Drive. Upon arrival, units found an adult male had been shot in front of the residence by another male. Another man was detained by officers, and homicide detectives were called to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.
