Capital murder charge filed against 15-year-old suspect in fatal shooting of teen during possible drug deal
A young man was shot and killed near an apartment complex in the North Houston neighborhood.
A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed near an apartment complex Monday afternoon in a north Houston neighborhood. The boy who was arrested shortly after the shooting, who is also 15, has now been charged with capital murder.
The incident was reported at a complex located in the 10100 block of Bammel at 3:20 p.m. by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

CPR was administered at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead when first responders arrived. The victim was later identified as Jacob Gomez. Gomez was not a resident at the complex where the shooting took place.

Our Sky 2 Chopper was over the scene. The victim appeared to be covered by a tarp near a dark-colored sedan parked at the complex.
After talking to witnesses, deputies detained a 15-year-old who was in an apartment. That teen was later charged with capital murder.
Detectives believe the shooting occurred during some sort of transaction between the two teens. They suspect drugs could’ve been involved.
