Results for Texas 18th Congressional District special election

Voters in Texas’s 18th Congressional District have cast their ballots on Nov. 4, 2025, to choose who will fill the vacant seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The special election comes after former Congressman Sylvester Turner vacated the seat earlier this year. Several candidates are competing to represent portions of central and north Houston, along with parts of Harris County, in Congress.

Polling places were open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, with early voting held Oct. 20–31.

The candidate who receives the majority of votes will serve out the remainder of the current term in the 18th District.

Voters in the district have decided who will represent them on issues including public safety, economic growth, infrastructure, and federal funding for local projects.
