Man killed in crash after chase from Baytown to Chambers County
A man was killed in a crash after a chase spanned from Baytown to Chambers County.
A man was killed in a crash after a chase spanned from Baytown to Chambers County.
Baytown police said they spotted a driver in a BMW driving recklessly on SH-146 near Alexander at about 8 p.m. Friday.
Officers tried to stop the driver, but they said the driver refused.
They said officers lost sight of the car multiple times, before it crossed into Chambers County.
Chambers County Sheriff’s Office took over the chase and they said a short time later, the driver crashed head-on into another car on Crystal Boulevard.
The man was ejected and died at the scene.
A man and woman in the other car were taken to the hospital and were expected to recover.
The Chambers County Sheriff’s was investigating.
It’s unclear why the man lead officers on a chase.
