Deputies said several teens were walking out of Pep Mueller Park on Henry Road near Pear Street at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.
They said a car pulled up, the teens got into an argument with the people inside and shots were fired.
One of the teens was shot and expected to recover.
Several shell casings were found near the scene.
Detectives were interviewing witnesses and canvassing the neighborhood for surveillance video.
“We do have information at this time that leads us to believe the individuals may be acquaintances or know of each other,” said Sgt. Russell Gonzalez with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
No arrests had been made.
