On Saturday, the area of low pressure driving the cold front will be much closer to us, bringing more intense rain and storms.
Crews will be lowering water levels at 12 p.m. on Friday. Officials said it takes 24 hours to lower Lake Houston by 12-inches.
The lake level will be reduced to an elevation of 41.4 feet.
