A ground stop has been issued for Bush Intercontinental Airport on Thursday afternoon.
According to the FAA website, the ground stop was issued at 5:02 p.m. and was due to issues with staffing.
On Tuesday, a ground stop was issued for both Houston airports due to staffing, making this the second this week for Bush Airport. On Wednesday flights were also delayed.
The ground stop at Bush lifted is expected to be lifted at 6:30 p.m.
The FAA released this statement earlier this week to address the staffing issues:
“As Secretary Duffy has said, there have been increased staffing shortages across the system. When that happens, the FAA slows traffic into some airports to ensure safe operations.”
