After a roller-coaster 2025 season that saw the Houston Astros miss the postseason for the first time since 2016, the team has parted ways with head athletic trainer Jeremiah Randall.

The firing was first reported by MLB.com reporter Brian McTaggart.

The Astros struggled with injuries throughout the course of the season. Starting pitchers Ronel Blanco and Spencer Arrighetti were both sidelined during the campaign with season-ending injuries. Closer Josh Hader also missed significant time down the stretch as the team lost ground in the playoff race.

The team also had major injuries to offensive contributors. Yordan Alvarez, Jake Meyers, and Isaac Paredes each had extended absences during the campaign.

The squad is also parting ways with assistant GM Andrew Ball, hitting coach Troy Snitker and catching coach Michael Collins.
