Man’s body found in White Oak Bayou during reported drowning call, Houston PD investigating
The Houston Police Department said its officers were called to a drowning on White Oak Drive near Gladys.

The Houston Police Department is investigating a man’s body found on Wednesday morning in White Oak Bayou.

Details are limited due to how active the investigation is, but HPD confirmed it was initially reported as a drowning call on White Oak Drive and Gladys Street.
The man’s body was recovered from the bayou just before 9:30 a.m., investigators tell KPRC 2’s Re’Chelle Turner. It’s unclear if foul play was a factor, as of this writing, but medical examiners will know more once the body is turned over to them.
This is the 7th body found in Houston bayous in the last 30 days.
