Hamas Israeli hostage videos 'appalling', EU foreign affairs chief Kallas says
Videos released by Palestinian militant group Hamas and its ally Islamic Jihad showing a pair of emaciated hostages held in Gaza since the the October 7, 2023 attack were condemned as "appalling" by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas on Sunday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked the Red Cross to bring aid to the hostages, which Hamas's armed wing has said it would only allow on the condition that Israel open humanitarian corridors across the besieged territory.
