France, Indonesia call for 'mutual recognition' between Israel and Palestinians

France and Indonesia on Wednesday called for "mutual recognition" between Israel and Palestinians as Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said his Muslim-majority country would formally recognise Israel if it allowed for a Palestinian state. French President Emmanuel Macron was visiting Jakarta as part of a three-day visit to Southeast Asia.
