Argentine judge orders 10 accused in 1994 Jewish community centre bombing tried in absentia

Ten Iranian and Lebanese nationals will be tried in absentia over the 1994 bombing of a Buenos Aires Jewish community center, an Argentine judge ordered on Thursday. It will be the first such trial since an amendment allowing suspects to be tried even if not physically present was passed in March under Argentine President Javier Milei, a fervent ally of Israel.
